Monday’s Encouraging Scripture

My response is to get down on my knees before the Father, this magnificent Father who parcels out all heaven and earth. I ask him to strengthen you by his Spirit—not a brute strength but a glorious inner strength—that Christ will live in you as you open the door and invite him in. And I ask him that with both feet planted firmly on love, you’ll be able to take in with all followers of Jesus the extravagant dimensions of Christ’s love. Reach out and experience the breadth! Test its length! Plumb the depths! Rise to the heights! Live full lives, full in the fullness of God.

Ephesians 3:14-19 MSG

OH WOW. So much here, love how it says it in The Message version.

…this magnificent Father who parcels out all heaven and earth…Amen

…strengthen you …with a glorious inner strength….YES! We so need that.

…”feet firmly planted in love”…that’s a prayer worth praying each day, that we would have our feet firmly planted in love as we stand in the presence of our coworkers, as we walk alongside our families and as we move to care for those around us!

And don’t even get me started on the “extravagant dimensions of Christ’s love”. I marvel at these verses in whatever version I’ve read as I’ve thought about Jesus’ love and how He wants us to experience it and to know the fullness of God. Absolutely amazing, inspiring and mind blowing.

I think I’m going to read these verses all week.
